WE ARE LOOKING FOR PRODUCTION PARTNERS
Brushy Creek Films are looking for Production Partners with a minimum of £5000 to invest in exchange for shares in our forth coming feature film “Gridiron UK”. This investment – which is in effect a short term loan will be paid back in full on the first day of principle photography. This investment will also entitle you to an annual share in the profits. Where else can you can you get an annual return on your investment that has already been paid back in full?
Our feature film “Gridiron UK” has been in planning now for over 3 years and filming is scheduled to Shoot in March 2010. Raising finance for a feature film under any circumstances is torturous task. This task has been made even tougher with the recent downturn in the global economy. Despite this, we have made significant production progress but need a further £50,000 to ensure we can continue with pre-production until the major finance is secured later this year or early next year.
We are very excited that “Gridiron UK” is headed by Executive Producer Gareth Jones. Gareth has been involved in the financing, sales and distribution of feature films for over twenty years. After graduating in law from University College London, Gareth practised as a corporate lawyer with City firm Macfarlanes. He joined George Harrison at HandMade Films as a lawyer in 1984, went on to head HandMade and subsequently became Managing Director of Alibi Films International. Gareth has financed and sold dozens of independent feature films including WITHNAIL AND I, MONA LISA, NUNS ON THE RUN, THE MAN WITH RAIN IN HIS SHOES and LOCK STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS.
In 2004 Gareth negotiated the acquisition by Content Film of the British crime feature THE BUSINESS which has since sold to Miramax in the U.S. and Pathe in the U.K. In 2005 Gareth arranged the financing on the Australian feature film THE BOOK OF REVELATION with producer Al Clark. The film stars Greta Scaachi and Tom Long and is released in the U.K .in 2006 and has sold extensively in the international market. Earlier this year he sold Psych 9 to Universal Studios and so we are excited about the future of Gridiron UK in the international market place.
We are also pleased to have David Soul attached to the project. David helped develop the script last year with writer/producer Gary Delaney. Although originally approached to be Director, his existing work commitments has resulted in him being attached as an Executive Producer/Consultant. The work he has already undertaken has been invaluable and he is an asset to the production.
Gridiron UK is going to be shot on 35mm film, using Panavision cameras and the budget for the film has been set at just under £2 Million due to be filmed in March 2010 over a period of six weeks. With a cast of around 160 featured actors you can begin to understand the logistics of pre-production work and financial problems that we face, for example to source costumes, props, accommodation, transportation and meals.
We are aiming for a worldwide cinema release and eventually the film will start to earn money. Once the film is in profit each investor will get an annual return on his shares. The revenue earned by a film comes from different chains such as Cinema, Television, DVD sales, Internet down loads, DVD rentals and mediums that may be invented in the future. Along these chains our partners such as the distributor will take their agreed percentage before any revenue makes it’s long journey back to Brushy Creek Films the producing company and shareholders.
