Raising finance for a feature film under any circumstances is torturous task. This task has been made even tougher with the recent downturn in the global economy. Despite this, we have made significant progress with producing GRIDIRON UK but need £100,000 to complete the budget and ensure that we can begin filming in April 2012
We are looking for Investors with minimum of £1,000 invest in Gridiron UK. Once the film starts to earn revenue the investment will be repaid back in full with a 10% premium on top. Once the film moves into profit, the profit to be shared equally between the Producers and the Equity Investors pro rata parri passu.
I know investing in film isn’t for everyone. If your only motive to invest is profit, then investing in film probably isn’t for you as big windfalls are rare for films of this budget. But it does happen and if you only invest what you can afford to lose then you are onto a winner from the outset. Investing in film is more than just a financial contribution. It’s about being part of something that will last forever, something that you can be part of from production to the red carpet premiere. As an equity investor you will recoup your initial investment plus a 10% premium as soon as the film starts to earn revenue. So, at worst, one can hope to recoup a proportion of your investment. At best, the film becomes a box office hit, and in these cases, payoffs can be enormous in both accolades and financial returns. That’s the magic of film, you just don’t know what you have got until it’s released. GRIDIRON UK has the potential to do well not just in the UK but also in the USA because it uses American Football as the vehicle that drives the film along. With the marketing help of the NFL and Sky Sports GRIDIRON UK could be the big surprise in 2013.
We invite you to be an associate producer and help get GRIDIRON UK made. Every penny is crucial to us at this stage if we are to hit our April deadline. Props need to be sourced, costumes made or altered, locations need to be dressed, the list is endless.
Below is an example of how a £5,000 investment would work based on £500,000 being raised in total as equity investment in the film. The £5K represents 1% of the total raised and therefore the investor (Investor ‘X’) will entitled to 1% of the equity share of the profits.
Profit is shared equally 50/50 between the producers (called producers net) and the equity investors. For this example we have used the figures from our own sales projections.
